It was 1994, and after years of traveling the globe, Judy Chicago’s was a veteran of controversy and triumph . But for the 1,038 women whose names were etched in gold and porcelain, time had stopped long ago.
While not as overtly feminist as Chicago’s The Dinner Party , Cronenberg’s version plays with traditional gender roles.
