Unlike his phone’s blank void, Navitel rendered the world. It showed the faintest trace of a yellow line—a Jalan Tanah (Dirt Road) rated for 4x4 vehicles only. It snaked through the contours of the hills, avoiding the deep ravines marked in red as “Danger: Landslide Zone.”
