A HEX V2 clone is a counterfeit circuit board housed in a plastic shell resembling the Ross-Tech original. Inside, it uses a micro-controller (often a PIC or ARM chip) flashed with stolen or reverse-engineered bootloaders.

Run the official installer (e.g., VCDS-Release-22.3.1-Installer.exe ) but the application after finishing.
