The album was produced by longtime collaborator , alongside Simone Felice and the band itself. Recorded in less than a month at Utopia Studios in Woodstock, the project is described by co-founder Wesley Schultz as an exploration of the "blurry line between what's real and what's not" and the ways we combat overstimulation.
