Most "cracks" are packaged with Trojans. While the IDM might work, a hidden process could be recording your keystrokes or stealing your passwords in the background.

IDM updates frequently to keep up with browser changes. A crack for version 6.11 will not work with modern versions of Chrome or Edge, rendering the "speed boost" useless.
