Autodesk ArtCAM, a leading CAD/CAM software for CNC carving, was discontinued in 2018. However, its proprietary Relief Clipart Library ( .art files) remains a critical asset for thousands of legacy users in woodworking, jewelry, and mold-making. This paper examines the technical structure of the ArtCAM relief library, evaluates legal and gray-market download sources post-EOL (End of Life), and proposes a risk assessment model for acquiring these assets. We find that while community-driven archives preserve digital craftsmanship, unauthorized distribution violates Autodesk’s IP terms.
