The plot is deceptively simple: The crew of the commercial starship

The movie follows the crew of the commercial towing spaceship Nostromo, which is transporting a cargo of mineral resources. The crew is awoken from stasis to investigate a distress signal on a nearby planet. Upon landing, a crew member, Kane, is sent to investigate and brings back an alien creature that quickly grows into a deadly Xenomorph. As the crew tries to understand what they've encountered, the alien begins to pick them off one by one, leading to a desperate fight for survival.
